FAQ

LPG is a naturally occurring co-product of natural gas extraction (60%) and crude oil refining (40%). It is therefore either used or it is wasted. It is a combination of propane and butane molecules, along with trace amounts of other compounds.

LPG has two origins: 60% is recovered during the extraction of natural gas and oil from the earth, and the remaining 40% is produced during the refining of crude oil. LPG is thus a naturally occurring co-product. In the past LPG was destroyed through venting or flaring (i.e. the burning off of unwanted gas), In the past LPG was destroyed through venting or flaring (i.e. the burning off of unwanted gas), wasting the full potential of this exceptional energy source.

LPG can be transported virtually anywhere, either in cylinders or bulk tank. It can be transported using sea, rail or road transport. LPG does not use piped networks, reducing vulnerability to supply disruption. Trucks transport butane and propane cylinders from the bottling plant to retailers, as well as to private and professional customers. Meanwhile, small bulk trucks distribute LPG from the storage centres to various consumers.

The composite cylinder introduced in the UAE by EMGAS is an innovation in gas cylinder manufacturing technology where composite material is used instead of the traditional steel. These composite cylinders are convenient to use and have significant advantage with its light weight. Another major advantage is that if the cylinder is exposed to a fire, then the composite structure develops millions of pinholes which allows the gas inside the cylinder to slowly escape and burn in a localized manner instead of exploding due to temperature build up as may happen with steel cylinders. Now available in 2 kg capacity, the composite cylinder will soon be available in other capacities also.

Check if any of equipments valves is open and check all flexible hose.

Your LP Gas cylinder should be stored in a location which is well ventilated and accessible so that it is easy to change. Remember that the hose connection to the appliance should not be excessively long as this will make the hose prone to damage. In addition the LP Gas cylinder should not be in direct sunlight or located close to any direct heat source such as an open fire. Always ensure that the LP Gas cylinder is stored in an upright position

LPG is the most environmentally friendly fossil fuel available today. It’s clean burning, efficient and sustainable. It produces fewer greenhouse gas emissions that just about any other domestic fuel source (including mains electricity), delivers a higher calorific value per unit than other commonly used fuels, and produces no harmful or dangerous waste.

LPG from EMGAS is ideally suited for the home. Our cylinders are certified safe, highly portable and available on demand. Our gas lights immediately, and burns with a bright blue flame, giving you total control. How do I order LPG from Emirates Gas? Our wide network of distributors is on hand to deliver the energy you need – and they are just a phone call away.

By using special detection spray or by using soap, never use fire.

Check if all necessary valves are open, and check if you have enough quantity of gas in your tank or cylinder.

In case you have gas control panel fixed, check which zone it is showing on the screen and check that zone. In case you have independent leak detectors check the area around the source of sound.

This can be caused by several reasons: • The cylinder is low on LPG and will need refilling soon. • The draw-off rate is greater than the cylinder can deliver. • The regulator is wrongly sized for your application. In all cases you should contact your supplier for a refill, or inform your supplier about the application requirements.
